RULES OF PRACTICE AND PROCEDURE OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL COMMISSION OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

The Environmental Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure, 2001

These Rules have been made by the Environmental Commission and approved by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in accordance with section 84(15) of the Environmental Management Act, 2000 .

Purpose of the Rules

The purpose of the Rules is to achieve the objective of the Commission to provide a fair, open, accessible and understandable process for parties before the Commission as well as other interested persons. The rules therefore seek to facilitate and enhance access to the Commission by the public, to encourage cooperation among parties and make proceedings less adversarial where appropriate.
